A casa, all’Arsenale

The female crew of the Serenissima was transported by the Comune out to Burano today, where they toasted Agostino Amadi for his brilliant restoration of the 50-year-old craft. They then headed back to Venezia where they, along with President Giovanni Giusto and other members of the Coordinamento Associazione Remiere, presented the pristine craft to Mayor Cacciari and Tourism Director Salvadori, at the Ca’ Farsetti at the Rialto.
The Serenissima is resting comfortably in the Arsenale tonight, ready for the festivities tomorrow.
